About the event
The Reading Public Museum hosts a session of its four-week art history short course, led jointly by Scott Schweigert, Curator of Art and Civilizations, and Geoff Fleming, Executive Director and CEO. The two bring their work with the Museum's collections into the classroom, offering an afternoon of close looking and conversation about art and the cultures that produced it.
The course is built for adults who want a deeper understanding of what they see in the galleries, whether they visit often or are just beginning to explore. Participants can attend a single class or register for the full four-week series. Additional details about the course content are still being announced by the Museum.
The session runs in the afternoon at the Museum on Museum Road in Reading, leaving time afterward to walk the permanent galleries or the surrounding arboretum grounds.
