Downtown Kutztown turns over West Main Street for Fall Fest on Main, a street festival put together by the Kutztown Community Partnership. From mid afternoon into the evening, the road becomes a walkable stretch of vendors, food, and local businesses greeting the season.
The festival is free to attend, which makes it easy to drop in for an hour or settle in for the whole span. Shops just off the main stretch on North Whiteoak Street keep extended hours the same day, so browsing can continue well past the usual closing time.
It is a good fit for families, students, and anyone who likes an evening spent outdoors in a small borough downtown. Comfortable shoes and a plan for parking a block or two away will serve you well.
