About the event
Downtown Robesonia turns out for the Jack Frost Parade, which steps off from Conrad Weiser Middle School and travels west along Penn Street (Route 422) before wrapping up at 30 West Meadow Avenue. Families line the curbs and side streets to watch marching bands, floats, dancers, groups of children, string bands, and the giant balloons that have become the parade's signature.
The parade is organized by Trinity Lutheran Church of Robesonia as a way of giving back locally. Proceeds support scholarships for two Conrad Weiser seniors, and organizers collect non-perishable food along the route for the Conrad Weiser Food Pantry, so bringing a few pantry items along is a easy way to take part.
It comes together through a large crew of volunteers handling everything from traffic direction and greeting to carrying and escorting the balloons. Anyone interested in helping can reach the parade team by email at trinityjackfrostparade@gmail.com. Plan to arrive early if you want a spot with a clear view of the route.
