The Oley Valley Community Fair returns to the Oley Fire Company Fairgrounds on Jefferson Street, filling three days with the farm and home traditions of the Oley Valley. This year the fair carries the theme Celebrating the Stars and Stripes, a nod to the country's founding woven through the grounds and its displays.

The exhibits building is the heart of it, where neighbors young and experienced enter produce, baked goods, needlework, flowers and much more for friendly competition. Around it you will find live music under the Bandstand Pavilion, held rain or shine, along with tractor pulls, animal shows, a mid-day car show and carnival rides for the kids. A decorated hay bale contest spreads entries across Oley, Boyertown, Fleetwood and Reading, so the drive in becomes part of the visit.

Food is a reason many families come back. Area churches and their congregations prepare and serve the menu themselves, including the fair's well known french fries, hamburgers, pork BBQ, soups and other Pennsylvania Dutch cooking. Seating under the pavilions is limited, so bring a lawn chair if you plan to settle in for the entertainment.
