ReadingFilmFEST
November 6, 2026 · The Boscov Theatre at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St., Reading

About the event
ReadingFilmFEST brings a weekend of independent cinema to downtown Reading, with the Boscov Theatre at GoggleWorks as a primary screening home and additional showings nearby at Reading Movies 11 & IMAX. The festival was built by working filmmakers alongside the ReadingFilm Office, and that approach still shapes the experience: visiting directors stay through the weekend, join Q&A sessions, and talk with audiences after their work screens.
The lineup runs past 70 titles across documentaries, narrative features, shorts, and animation, joined by workshops and panel conversations for anyone curious about how films get made. Announced selections include Jennifer Siebel Newsom's Miss Representation: Rise Up, Josh Fox's The Welcome Table, and the Oscar nominated short A Lien, alongside projects from filmmakers working right here in Berks County.
Opening night is marked with a gala, and the Boscov Theatre itself is a compact 125 seat room on the ground floor of GoggleWorks, which makes conversations with filmmakers easy to fall into. Full schedule details are posted at ReadingFilmFEST.org.
