Yoga on the Mountain
September 27, 2026 · 9:00 AM · Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, 1700 Hawk Mountain Rd, Kempton · All levels welcome, no yoga experience necessary; limited to 15 participants per session

About the event
Start your Sunday with a morning yoga session on the mountain, led by Orwigsburg studio YOGA-B-YOGA in partnership with Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. The practice takes place in a temperature controlled indoor space, so the setting stays comfortable while the ridge scenery does its work. All levels are welcome, and no previous yoga experience is needed.
Hawk Mountain makes a fitting backdrop. Founded in 1934 by conservationist Rosalie Edge, it is the world's first refuge for birds of prey, open year round for hiking, birding, and hawkwatching. The sanctuary sits along the Kittatinny Ridge and protects thousands of acres of forest within a major raptor migration corridor, which means late September mornings here often come with birds moving overhead.
Bring your own mat, and give yourself extra time to park, check in, and settle into the space before the session begins. Group size is kept small, with 15 spots per session. If you want to make a morning of it, the Visitor Center, bookstore, and trails are right there when class wraps up.
