Life Sharing Host Family Homes From Threshold Rehabilitation Services
Threshold Rehabilitation Services runs Life Sharing, which places a person with a host family, known as a Life Sharing Provider, who welcomes that person into their home and community. The service may also be provided in the residence of an immediate family member. Life Sharing is one of Threshold's services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Along with a place to live, the program offers training in daily living skills, healthcare oversight and medication administration, financial management, recreation, interpersonal skill development, and community integration.
Threshold's Life Sharing Program began in 1982 and was the first such project in Pennsylvania.
