Election Day and after
Polls are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on November 3, and anyone in line by 8 p.m. can vote. A mail ballot must be received by the county by 8 p.m. that night. Counties may begin opening and scanning mail ballots at 7 a.m. on Election Day, but the official count continues in the days afterward, so results are not final on election night: the county reports unofficial numbers around November 10 and certifies the official count by November 23.
