About the workshop
Teens make a ceramic mug by hand in this single evening workshop at GoggleWorks in Reading. Using a template and slabs of clay, students shape a mug for their favorite drink and press textures into the surfaces, so the finished piece is both functional and their own design. The class is built around handbuilding techniques, and it is open to all skill levels, so no prior clay experience is needed.
The session runs Monday from 5 PM to 8 PM and meets in the Ceramics Auxiliary Classroom 301 on the third floor of the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington St. Karen Adam is the instructor. Clay is messy, so wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. If you are not sure where to go, staff at the front desk can point you to the room.
