Learn the language of color through a series of exercises, paintings and drawings using acrylic paint and colored pencils. You will look at why some color combinations feel restful while others feel jarring, how to tell which colors suit you, and what artists mean when they talk about values, saturation and warm or cool color. You will also work toward a personal palette you can use in your wardrobe, your home or your own artwork.
The class meets Friday mornings with instructor Suzanne Fellows in the Drawing and Painting Classroom, room 318 on the third floor of GoggleWorks. It is open to all skill levels, and to teens age 14 and up as well as adults. Shared art materials are provided in the studio for most classes, and personal supplies can be bought at the Art Supply Store on the first floor.
Sign up online through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the class begins. Students under 18 enrolled in an adult class need written permission.
