Fine Table Making
Sat, Nov 7 to Mon, Nov 9 · Member: $505.75 / Non-Member: $595.00

About the workshop
Over three full days in the Woodworking Studio at GoggleWorks, you build a wooden side table from start to finish. The work centers on the classic mortise and tenon joint, and the instructor covers both how to cut it and why it holds up. Turning fundamentals are part of the process as the table comes together.
The workshop is open to adults at all skill levels, so you can come with plenty of shop time behind you or with little. Sessions run 9 AM to 5 PM, so plan for long days at the bench. Closed toe shoes are required. The studio is on the first floor at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading.
The instructor is Matthew Brown, a Reading native who studied cabinetmaking and wood technology at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and has taught at colleges and universities in the region and beyond. Register on the GoggleWorks class page, where you can also review supply details and registration policies before you sign up.
