Mini-Makers Pinch Pot Turkey Clay Workshop

About the workshop
Children and a grown-up work side by side to build a pinch pot turkey from clay. Karen Adam leads the group through basic pinch pot and handbuilding techniques, then everyone adds colorful feathers and festive details to make a seasonal decoration for the fall. The workshop is open to all skill levels and runs as a single Sunday afternoon session.
An adult must take part in the workshop alongside the child, and each adult and child attending needs their own spot. Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty, since clay work is messy. The class meets in the Ceramics Auxiliary Classroom 301 on the third floor at GoggleWorks in Reading.
Finished pieces stay behind to be fired, and turnaround for ceramics can take a few weeks. The GoggleWorks Programs team sends an email when the turkeys are ready to pick up. Sign up through the GoggleWorks class page for this workshop.
