In this sewing class at GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, students build a crossbody bag from start to finish. You work through the steps of putting in a zipper, sewing a lining, and attaching an adjustable strap, so you finish with a bag you can carry every day. Instructor Lee Shannon leads the sessions, and the class is open to all skill levels.
The class meets for three Saturday sessions in November at GoggleWorks, 201 Washington St in Reading. It is set up for teens ages 14 and up as well as adults. Check the class page for the supply details before your first session, and add a note to your registration if there is anything that would help us make the class work better for you.
Sign up through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the start date. Students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, and GoggleWorks staff can send the form by email. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
