Welding Basics: Session E
Starts Sat, Dec 12, 11:30 AM · Member: $68.00 / Non-Member: $80.00 · Ages 16 and up

About the workshop
This one session workshop at GoggleWorks introduces MIG welding, a process that uses an electric arc between a wire electrode and metal to melt and join the pieces. Students learn the basic principles and build a miniature metal sculpture to take home at the end of the class. It is open to all skill levels, so no prior welding experience is needed.
The workshop meets on a Saturday from 11:30 AM to 2 PM in the Welding Studio, Building 4, on the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington St in Reading. Brian Glaze leads the session. Ages 16 and up may take part, and students under 18 enrolling in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian.
Come dressed for the studio: flame resistant clothing, long pants and heavy closed toe shoes are required. Register through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the class starts, and a waitlist is offered if the session fills.
