What's in Season: Acorns at Nolde Forest
Starts Sun, Nov 22, 1:00 PM · Free

About the class
Acorns have fed people in this region for a long time, and this program looks at how they were used in the past and how they are used today. The group meets in the McConnell Environmental Education classroom at Nolde Forest Environmental Education Center for an introduction led by center staff.
You will learn which acorn varieties work best in the kitchen and how acorns are processed before they can be eaten. The session also includes a taste of baked goods made with acorns.
The program runs on a Sunday afternoon and meets indoors at McConnell Hall. Registration is handled through the DCNR calendar of events listing for this program.
