This beginner-friendly workshop looks at drawing and painting portraits from observation. You work through the full process: observing your subject, measuring, composing, blocking in, and rendering. Students use the media of their choice.
The instructor covers color theory, tonal development, and form resolution as you work. It is open to adults, and no previous portrait experience is expected. The workshop meets on Saturdays and includes an hour break for lunch, so plan to bring or buy a meal.
