Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial is the battleship USS New Jersey, moored on the Camden, NJ waterfront and open for self guided and guided tours of the ship.

You walk the decks, ladders and compartments of the battleship itself: the color coded self guided routes take 5 to 45 minutes each and climb 2 to 13 ladders, the 90 minute guided tour leaves daily at noon, and evening tours open the 16 inch gun turrets and the engine room. The museum also runs overnight encampments, a Small Sailors tour for children under 12 and a chance to fire one of the ship's 5 inch or 40mm guns.

Before you go

Wear comfortable closed toe shoes with non skid soles (routes climb 2 to 13 ladders) and leave backpacks behind, they cannot be worn aboard. Parking: Marina Lot at 62 Battleship Place $15, preferred lot at 100 Clinton Street $15 to $20, Waterfront Garage at 10 Delaware Avenue $11.
