About the event
Collective Soul plays the Santander Performing Arts Center in downtown Reading on October 21 at 7:30 PM. The Georgia band broke through in the 1990s with big melodies, loud guitars and a touch of Southern grit, and songs like "Shine," "December" and "The World I Know" have stayed in steady rotation ever since.
The lineup features Ed Roland on vocals, guitar and piano, Dean Roland on rhythm guitar, Will Turpin on bass, Jesse Triplett on lead guitar and Johnny Rabb on drums. Their album Touch and Go arrived first through independent record stores and draws on New Wave influences such as The Cars, so the set has room for newer material alongside the familiar radio staples.
The band also has a feature-length documentary, Give Me A Word: The Collective Soul Story, filmed during album sessions at Elvis Presley's Palm Springs estate and mixing studio footage with clips from their early days. Expect a straightforward rock show in one of the county's most comfortable rooms for live music.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
