The Daniel Boone Homestead continues its fall lecture series with a talk on Berks County and the American Revolution, presented by Dr. Karen Guenther of Mansfield University. The program takes place in the DeTurk Education Center on the Homestead grounds in Birdsboro.

The Revolution reached well beyond the battlefields of eastern Pennsylvania, and Berks County played its own part through the people who lived, farmed, and worked here during those years. The lecture offers a closer look at that local story in the setting of one of the county's best known historic sites.

The talk runs one hour and is a good fit for history enthusiasts, students, and anyone curious about how the county fits into the larger story of American independence. Additional details are expected from the Homestead as the date approaches.
