About the event
Carisa Hendrix arrives at the Santander Performing Arts Center as Lucy Darling, the glamorous vintage Hollywood socialite she created and has since toured around the world. Simply Darling is a variety show that blends skillful magic with quick comic timing, delivered by a character known for impeccable wit, playful mischief, and a cocktail never far from reach.
Hendrix is a Canadian magician and variety artist with roots in sideshow and circus arts, the recipient of the Allan Slaight Award and a Stage Magician of the Year honoree at the Magic Castle, with television appearances including Penn & Teller: Fool Us and Masters of Illusion. Onstage, Lucy is especially known for crowd work, drawing front row audience members into a playful back and forth.
Joining her is TJ Shanoff, a musical improviser from Chicago's Second City, whose piano accompaniment layers in extra jokes for anyone listening closely. Together they make an evening of magic, comedy, and mischief that rewards a night out downtown.
Hosted by Santander Performing Arts Center on BerksConnect.
