Spend a Sunday afternoon inside the working studios at GoggleWorks in Reading. The studio crawl opens up the second and third floors, where you can wander the hallways, take in the artwork on display outside the studio doors, and see how the pieces come together in the spaces where they are made.
There is no set route and no guided group. Visitors and families move at their own pace, stopping wherever something catches their eye. Studio artists are encouraged to be on hand from noon to 4 p.m., so this is a good window to meet the people behind the work, ask about their process, and hear what they are currently making.
Bring family, come with a friend, or strike up a conversation with someone new. It is a relaxed way to spend part of the day and to get to know the creative community working in the heart of Berks County.
