Spend a Sunday afternoon inside the working studios at GoggleWorks in Reading. The second and third floors open up for a self guided crawl, so you can wander the hallways at your own pace, take in the artwork on display outside the studio doors, and step in to see how the work actually gets made.
Artists are encouraged to be in their studios from noon until 4:00 PM, which makes this the best window to meet the people behind the pieces, ask questions, and hear what they are working on. You may also run into a neighbor or two along the way.
It is an easy outing for families, friends, or anyone curious about the creative community in Berks County. Come alone or bring a group, and take as much time as you like. More about the studio artists on the second and third floors is available through GoggleWorks.
