Spend a Sunday afternoon inside the working studios at GoggleWorks in Reading, where artists on the second and third floors open their doors for a self guided crawl. Wander the hallways, take in the artwork on display outside each studio, and see how the pieces come together in the spaces where they are made.
Artists plan to be on hand through the afternoon, so there is a good chance to talk with the people behind the work, ask about their process, and get a look at tools and materials up close. Move at whatever pace suits you, linger where something catches your eye, and keep going when you are ready.
It is an easy outing for families, friends, or anyone curious about the creative community in downtown Reading. Bring someone along, or come on your own and strike up a conversation. You may well run into a neighbor while you are there.
