Shocktoberfest turns the lights up for Day of the Dead, a family friendly walk through Pennsylvania's haunted scream park with the frights scaled for younger visitors. The evening runs from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on November 1 at 94 Park Ave in Sinking Spring, just off the turnpike outside Reading and an easy drive from Philadelphia, Allentown, and Harrisburg.
Admission covers three of the park's main draws: a walk through the haunted house, a seat on the hayride the park is best known for, and a round of zombie laser tag, where players carry a tactical laser gun and track down escaping zombies. The Monster Midway sits at the center of it all, with games, photo spots, and room to wander between attractions.
Food is part of the night if you want it. The midway's trucks and stands pour out pulled pork and smoked brisket sandwiches, street tacos, mac and cheese, fresh cut fries, funnel cake, and fried Oreos, and there are indoor restrooms on the grounds. Come early, eat first, and let the kids set the pace.
