Upper Bern Township has set its trick-or-treat night for Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The township posted the notice on its own site on September 11: "Upper Bern Township Trick or Treat Night Oct 31, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM." No rain date is given.
The township takes in Shartlesville and the farm country along Old Route 22 at the foot of Blue Mountain, so trick-or-treating runs house to house along the village streets and by car between the outlying homes. Shartlesville's main street, with its close-set houses, is where most families start. A porch light on means a house is taking part.
Bring a flashlight or something reflective for darker costumes, watch for cars on the rural roads, and wrap up by 8:00 PM. Questions can go to the township office in Shartlesville.
