Mental Health Counseling and Psychiatry at Berks Counseling Center in Reading
Berks Counseling Center offers outpatient and intensive outpatient counseling, case management, psychiatric evaluation and medication support for mental health concerns at its office on Penn Street in Reading. Treatment uses evidence based methods such as motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT, Illness Management and Recovery and WRAP practices.
You can get individual therapy, group therapy, or both. Group and individual therapy are used in treating both mental health and substance use disorders. A treatment team works with you to build an individualized clinical care plan made for you.
For psychiatric care, the center has board certified child and adult psychiatrists, tele psychiatrists, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who can evaluate you and, if needed, provide medication support. The psychiatric providers work closely with the center's clinical team. All of the behavioral health services are trauma informed, recovery driven and fully integrated with physical health and wellness services.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and closed Sunday. Admissions are handled Monday through Friday only, so call on a weekday to be admitted.
