24 Hour Mental Health and Substance Use Crisis Help in Reading
Berks Counseling Center keeps a 24 hour phone line for people in a mental health or substance use crisis, and works in close collaboration with Holcomb Crisis Intervention of Berks County so crisis intervention can be reached 24 hours a day. The center has more than 25 years' experience managing mental health and substance abuse crises and providing related support and services.
Help is always available for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and suicidal or homicidal thoughts. The page does not list any other rule about who can reach out.
Crisis services come in office, by phone, or by text, as needed. All Berks Counseling Center patients are actively screened for suicide risk. Once a crisis is resolved, the goal is to effectively connect the person in crisis to the services he or she needs.

The clinic's own hours are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Friday and Saturday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, closed Sunday, with admissions Monday through Friday only.
