About the workshop
In this single-session workshop at GoggleWorks, you make a sterling silver ring from start to finish. You twist and braid silver wire, then shape, solder, and finish the piece. Along the way you practice sizing, forming, and polishing, which are core metalsmithing skills.
The workshop is open to all skill levels, so you do not need past jewelry experience. It meets on a Saturday afternoon in the Metalsmithing Studio in Building 6 on the GoggleWorks campus at 201 Washington Street in Reading. Closed-toe shoes are required. The instructor is Lukas Kohler.
Register through the GoggleWorks class page. Registration closes five business days before the class starts. Students under 18 enrolled in an adult course need written permission from a parent or guardian, which GoggleWorks provides by email. Scholarships are available through GoggleWorks.
