Pickleball at the Sinking Spring YMCA is easy to pick up and social, and there are ways in for players at every level. Options include open play sessions, learn to play events, private lessons with a pickleball professional, small group "Three & Me" sessions, and clinics for beginner, intermediate and advanced players, plus seasonal leagues and events. In a Three & Me session, three players share the court with a pickleball professional who plays in the foursome and coaches through game situations, with a focus on decision making, shot selection and building points.

Bring your own paddle and pickleballs if you have them. If you do not, paddles and pickleballs are available for you to use. The Y follows the USA Pickleball player skill rating system, which runs from 1.0 for beginners to 5.0 and above for advanced players. New players usually start around 2.0 to 2.5, while experienced competitors often play at 3.5 and above. Knowing your rating helps you find games and clinics that match your play.

Open play sessions are viewed and reserved through Court Reserve, and participants check in at the Welcome Center before going to the courts. Private lessons and Three & Me sessions are scheduled by a pickleball professional who contacts you after you register. All sessions are at the Sinking Spring YMCA. Sign up through the link, or call the Sinking Spring YMCA Welcome Center at (610) 678-0484 with questions.
