Reading YMCA Competitive Swim Team, Fall and Winter Season
In progress since Sep 1, through Sep 30 · Member $0.00, Non-Member $0.00 · Age 8

About the season
The Reading YMCA competitive swim team works on proper stroke technique and endurance for swimmers at every competitive level. Swimmers train with their group, build the four competitive strokes along with dives and turns, and race as part of the Reading Y team.
The season is organized into groups: Developmental for swimmers 8 and under and for first-time swimmers of any age, who should be able to swim one lap of freestyle or backstroke; Bronze for swimmers 12 and under and those who need work on stroke technique, dives and turns; Silver for swimmers 11 and over with strong technique who can lap-swim a long distance set; plus Gold and High School groups. Developmental practices run weekday evenings with a limit on practices per week, Bronze practices run Monday through Friday evenings, and Silver practices run weekday evenings with a Saturday morning session.
New swimmers should email Coach Kim Evans, Director of Competitive Aquatics, before registering so she can place them in the right age group. Registration is handled online or at the front desk, and families can pay in full or in monthly installments.
