About the program
Stammtisch is a drop-in conversation group that meets at the Sinking Spring Public Library on the second Saturday of each month, from 9 to 10 in the morning. It is a relaxed hour for talking, catching up and meeting people over coffee, which the library provides at no charge.
The name comes from a German tradition. A Stammtisch is the regulars' table in a pub or restaurant, where friends, colleagues or club members gather for informal talk, debate and company. Similar customs show up around the world, wherever like-minded people meet on a regular basis to share ideas and experiences in an easy setting.
Everyone is welcome, whether you live in Sinking Spring or are visiting from elsewhere. You do not need a library card to take part. Just come to the library at 3940 Penn Avenue and join the table.
