Adventure Aquarium is an aquarium in Camden, NJ, minutes from Center City Philadelphia, home to sharks, hippos, sea turtles and penguins.
The aquarium counts more than 5,000 animals in two million gallons of water, with what it calls the largest collection of sharks in the Northeast and the only hippos exhibited at any aquarium in the world. Shark Bridge, which the site calls the world's longest V-shaped shark bridge, New Jersey's longest shark tunnel, three touch exhibits and a 3D theater are all on the admission ticket, along with scheduled feedings and live shows.
Before you go
Buy dated tickets online; entry is timed and walk-ups can be turned away when sold out. Park in the Hippo or Penguin lots across the street, $10. Afternoons are quieter; school groups leave by 1 PM. Wagons are not allowed, strollers rent for $8 to $10. Mostly cashless since August 2026.
