The Museum of the American Revolution is a history museum at Third and Chestnut streets in Old City Philadelphia, PA, steps from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.
George Washington's field tent is here; the Washington's War Tent film ends with its reveal and plays every hour from 11 AM. Galleries come with replica artifacts you can touch, daily talks and costumed living-history programs, and Revolution Place on the first floor is a discovery center built for kids. Through January 3, 2027, The Declaration's Journey exhibition marks the 250th anniversary of 1776.
Before you go
Book timed tickets ahead; same-day tickets can sell out. No museum lot; garages within a tenth of a mile include Park America (27 S. 3rd St.) and the Autopark at Olde City (125 S. 2nd St.). Strollers welcome, loaners free at the front desk. Snacks only in the first-floor rotunda.
