About the event
The Berks Fiddle Fest brings a full day of acoustic music to Fleetwood Community Park. The schedule includes instrumental workshops, local craft and food vendors, competitions, demonstrations, jamming circles, and open mic, with Americana bands on the Mainstage and the all-ages fiddle competition as the popular main attraction. Fiddler Craft Row is a good place to browse handmade work between concerts, workshops, and jam sessions.
This year's Mainstage features a headliner concert by Nyke Van Wyk, an internationally recognized violinist known for blending classical and Celtic traditions with contemporary energy. Opening band Midnight on the Water weaves traditional fiddle tunes into pop, jazz, and R&B songs, and the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps brings an ensemble of fifers, drummers, and flag bearers for an American Revolution themed performance marking America250.
Mainstage activity runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The park offers 33 acres of green space, mature trees, and a mainstage amphitheater at the center of the festival, with free parking in the designated lot. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed, and the event is held rain or shine. Burgers, hot dogs, vegetarian vegetable soup, and drinks come from the Friends of Fleetwood Park stand, which also offers a "Taste of Berks" with specialty items from area eateries.
