The Reading Public Museum turns its galleries over to neighbors for an afternoon focused on Indigenous American heritage, part of the Museum's Celebrating Our Community series. Local community members lead the day, sharing traditions, stories, music, art, and food from their own cultures.

Plan on live cultural performances, traditional dances, hands-on art activities, interactive workshops, and tasting stations spread through the afternoon. Visitors can move at their own pace, stopping to craft, listen, watch, or sample as they go, with the people leading each activity happy to talk about what they are presenting.

The program is built for all ages, so families can make a full outing of it and still have time for the rest of the Museum and the surrounding arboretum grounds. Museum admission is free during the event, and anyone with questions or a group interested in taking part can reach Becky Ruth at becky.ruth@readingpublicmuseum.org.
