Eagle Day
November 7, 2026 · Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, 1700 Hawk Mountain Rd, Kempton · Sanctuary admission, membership card, or admission sticker required for entry to the amphitheater program

About the event
Hawk Mountain Sanctuary turns its attention to eagles for the day, with bald and golden eagles presented up close at the outdoor amphitheater. The programs look at the role apex predators play in a healthy ecosystem and the hazards these birds encounter in the wild. Under permit of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Pennsylvania Game Commission, one non releasable bald eagle and one non releasable golden eagle take part as ambassadors for the sanctuary's raptor education work.
The Eagle Discovery Station in the Information Pavilion gives visitors a closer look at eagle migration, identification, nesting and feeding habits, and the recovery of bald eagle populations. That comeback story carries lessons that still shape conservation decisions today.
The hour long amphitheater programs stand in for Raptors up Close on this date. Seating fills quickly, so arriving early is a good idea, and there is plenty of room for those who prefer to stand. The amphitheater is ADA accessible, making this an easy outing for families and visitors of all ages who want a memorable look at two of North America's most recognizable birds.
