Karaoke Social: For Students & Adults with Developmental Delays
November 6, 2026 · 5:30 PM · Yocum Institute for Arts Education, 3000 Penn Avenue, West Lawn · For teens and adults with developmental delays and their families

About the event
Singing brings people together, and this evening at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education is built around that idea. The karaoke social welcomes teens and adults with developmental delays along with their families for a relaxed night of music and conversation in West Lawn.
Participants pick their own songs from a wide range of music. You can sing along to a karaoke track, or, if the facilitator knows the tune, perform with live accompaniment instead. Whether you want to take the microphone for a solo, join in on a group favorite, or simply listen and clap along, there is room for every comfort level.
The Yocum Institute is a longtime community arts center on Penn Avenue, and this gathering fits its welcoming spirit. Expect a friendly crowd, familiar songs, and an easy chance to meet other local families. Doors open for a 5:30 PM start on Friday, November 6.
