Centre Park Historic District welcomes neighbors and visitors for an evening of live music under the trees at 725 Centre Ave in Reading. Guitarist David Cullen performs, and the setting is the kind of shaded, walkable city park that makes an easy stop after work or a relaxed way to start a weekend evening.
Cullen is a Grammy winner in the Best Pop Instrumental Recording category, and he plays across classical, jazz, and world music styles and has performed throughout North America for classical guitar societies, jazz festivals, and performing arts series. He is an artist in residence at Elizabethtown College and teaches jazz and classical guitar at Kutztown University, Millersville University, and West Chester University, so Berks audiences are hearing a player with deep roots in the region.
Bring your own blankets or chairs along with whatever food and drink you like, keeping in mind that alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the park. Everyone is welcome, and there is no charge to attend.
