About the event
JCWK Dance Lab teams up with Alvernia University for a dance series built for adults, whether you teach at a studio, take classes on campus, or have never set foot in a dance room before. Sessions run at different levels and times, so you can find a class that matches where you are and try something new at your own pace.
The series moves through a range of styles across its three parts. Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley open things up, followed by Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, then Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King along with Flamenco led by Amanda Pena.
Every class is led by professional dancers and educators who focus on the joy and connection that come from moving together. JCWK Dance Lab is a Berks County contemporary dance company known locally for community classes, workshops, and performances, and this gathering at Alvernia carries that same welcoming spirit. Wear something comfortable to move in and come ready to learn.
