About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University host an evening of the Summer Dance Series for Adults on the university's Reading campus. The nine week series welcomes studio teachers, college students, and anyone curious about stepping into a dance studio for the first time, with different levels and class times so participants can find a fit that matches their experience.
Classes across the series cover Beginning Jazz and Intermediate Contemporary, Beginning Modern and Floor Work, and Beginning Ballet and Flamenco, led by teaching artists including Jessica Warchal-King, Arielle Ridley, Megan Zalek, Sarena Gable, and Amanda Pena. Each instructor is a professional dancer and educator guiding participants through movement at a comfortable pace.
JCWK Dance Lab is based in the Greater Reading area and combines education, dance practice, and performance, exploring how dance can create joy, connection, and wellness through kinesthetic storytelling. Comfortable clothing you can move in is all you need to take part.
