About the event
The West Reading Farmers' Market brings local growers and food makers together at the West Reading Park & Pavilion, 505 Sycamore Road. Every vendor is a small-scale farmer or food business from within 50 miles of the borough, and everything on the tables is grown, raised, or made by hand by the people selling it.
Expect seasonal vegetables and fruit, pastured meats, poultry, and eggs, cheeses, raw local honey, organic breads, artisan pastries and cookies, fresh pasta and ravioli, olive oil, locally roasted coffee and blended teas, cut flowers, herbal tinctures and body care, and locally fermented cider and beer. Live music and free samples are part of the regular rhythm, and the market runs rain or shine.
The market is as much a gathering place as a shopping trip, built around helping neighbors learn where their food comes from and meet the people who produce it. SNAP is accepted, and vegetable and mushroom growers accept Farmers' Market Nutrition Program checks.
Hosted by West Reading Borough on BerksConnect.
