Homeschool Days - Inventors & Innovators: Crafting the Future.
November 5, 2026 · 10:00 AM · The Neag Planetarium, 500 Museum Rd, Reading · Designed for elementary school age students; younger and older siblings welcome. Reservations required in advance.

About the event
Homeschool families are invited to spend a morning exploring how ideas become inventions. Museum educators lead this Inventors and Innovators session with guided tours and hands-on projects built around crafting the future, so children get to look closely at objects on view and then try their own building and problem solving.
The program is designed for elementary school age students, and younger and older siblings are welcome to join in, which makes it a comfortable fit for families teaching several ages at once. Everyone in the group takes part together, so parents and caregivers work alongside their students rather than watching from the side.
This session is one of a series of themed homeschool mornings held through the school year. Reservations are required in advance, with the deadline falling on the Monday before the program, and families interested in a different date or topic can ask about private homeschool workshop options.
Hosted by Reading Public Museum on BerksConnect.
