Pop-Up Farm Market at the Berks County Heritage Center
September 12, 2026 · 9:00 AM · Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road, Reading · Free admission

About the event
The Pop-Up Farm Market brings local growers and makers to the grounds of the Berks County Heritage Center for a morning of shopping ahead of the fall season. Browse what Berks County producers have on hand, pick up something for the week, and enjoy family activities spread across the property.
The market is held with the Berks County Parks Department as part of the Heritage Center's Heritage Day celebration, so a visit to the vendors pairs naturally with the site itself. The historic park takes in the Gruber Wagon Works, a National Historic Landmark, the C. Howard Hiester Canal Center, Wertz's Covered Bridge, Melcher's Grist Mill, an herb garden, Mildred the houseboat, the Epler's One Room School House, and farm buildings from the property's earlier days, with restrooms and picnic tables available.
It is an easy outing for families and anyone who likes a walk through the countryside along the way. The Heritage Center sits along the Tulpehocken Creek west of Reading, with plenty of open ground for children to explore between stops at the market tables.
