About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University present the Summer Dance Series for Adults at the St. Bernardine Street campus in Reading, with this session beginning at 6:00 PM on September 22. The nine week series gathers a range of styles under one roof, and classes are offered at different levels and times so you can find the one that fits.
Across the three series, the lineup includes Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley, Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, and Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King alongside Flamenco with Amanda Pena. The instructors are professional dancers and educators who lead each class with care.
The series is built for studio teachers looking to keep learning, college students, and adults stepping into a dance studio for the first time. JCWK Dance Lab is directed by its founder, Jessica Warchal-King, a performer, choreographer, educator, and arts advocate, and the company's work centers on creating joy, connection, and wellness through movement. Comfortable clothes and a willingness to try are the main things to bring.
