About the event
JCWK Dance Lab and Alvernia University host an evening of the Summer Dance Series for Adults, a nine week program built for studio teachers, college students, and anyone curious about trying dance for the first time. Classes run at different levels and times, so you can step in wherever feels comfortable and work at your own pace.
The series moves through a wide range of styles. Offerings include Beginning Jazz with Jessica Warchal-King and Intermediate Contemporary with Arielle Ridley, Beginning Modern with Warchal-King and Floor Work with Megan Zalek, plus Beginning Ballet with Sarena Gable and Warchal-King and Flamenco with Amanda Pena. Each session is led by professional dancers and educators who teach with the joy and connection of movement in mind.
JCWK Dance Lab is a Reading based project that treats dance practice, performance, and education as ongoing research, and its founder Jessica C. Warchal-King is a lecturer and artist in residence in dance at Alvernia. Wear clothes you can move in and bring a friend. Full class details are available at jcwkdancelab.org/summerseries.
