Food Creations is a ceramics class where kids make food out of clay just for fun, not for eating. Students hand-build playful ceramic versions of pizza, hamburgers, cupcakes and other favorite treats.
The class uses easy hand building techniques to shape both flat tile pieces and small three-dimensional sculptures. Kids work on color, texture and small details so their food art looks tasty. Rebecca Kline teaches the class, which meets Thursday evenings at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education for three weeks.
The class is open to ages 5 to 12, and all materials are included. Sign up through the registration page on the Yocum Institute website. Tuition is paid in full at the time of registration, and a spot is held once payment is received.
