Food Creations is a ceramics class where kids make food art out of clay, just for looking at and not for eating. Students hand-build playful ceramic versions of pizza, hamburgers, cupcakes and other favorite treats.
The class uses easy hand building techniques to shape both flat tile pieces and small three-dimensional sculptures. Kids work on color, texture and small details so their food pieces look realistic and fun. Rebecca Kline teaches the class, and all materials are provided.
The class is for ages 5 to 12 and meets Thursday evenings for three weeks. Register through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education.
