Students paint holiday scenes and subjects in this Friday evening class with instructor Shawna Hansberry at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Each student picks the paint they want to work with: acrylic, tempera cakes, or watercolor. Drawing subjects vary to suit each student, so everyone can work on something that fits their own interests and skill.
Paint may be combined with other media, such as glitter, to add to the holiday look. The work gets messy, so students should dress in clothes that can take paint and plan to pitch in with cleanup at the end of class.
The class meets Friday evenings for four weeks and is open to ages 7 to 14. Registration is handled through the Yocum Institute, and tuition is paid in full when you sign up.
