Students paint the holiday season in this four week class with instructor Shawna Hansberry. Each artist picks the paint they want to work with, choosing from acrylic, tempera cakes, or watercolor. Drawing subjects vary to suit each student, so painters can follow their own holiday ideas.
Paint can be combined with other materials, such as glitter, to add sparkle to the finished work. The class meets on Friday evenings for an hour and is open to children and teens ages 7 to 14.
This one gets messy, so please wear clothes that can take paint and glitter, and plan to pitch in with cleanup at the end of each session. Sign up through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education in West Lawn.
