Musical Theater 2 at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education is built for young dancers who love Broadway. The class introduces the fundamentals of musical theatre dance, mixing basic jazz technique with storytelling and performance skills. Students learn choreography inspired by favorite Broadway musicals and work on confidence, coordination, stage presence and creativity in a supportive class setting.

The class meets Monday evenings and is grouped for ages 9 and 10. Dancers should wear comfortable fitness or dance attire. Shoes are at the instructor's discretion, so check with the teacher before buying anything.

Dance classes at Yocum run as a recital season split into two sessions. Students who continue into the second session do not need to register again. To sign up, use the registration link on the Yocum Institute website or contact the Institute directly.
