About the class
Kids ages 7 to 10 build their own cornucopia centerpiece out of upcycled materials. Working with everyday items that would otherwise be thrown away, students turn them into a symbol of abundance and gratitude for the season.
Along the way, young artists try out construction techniques and think about composition: how the pieces fit together and how the finished centerpiece looks as a whole. Each student takes home the cornucopia they make.
The class meets on Saturdays, from late morning into the early afternoon, at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. Registration is handled through Yocum's class registration page.
