About the class
In this seasonal art class at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education, students build their own cornucopia centerpiece out of upcycled materials. Working with everyday throwaways, young artists turn castoffs into a decorative symbol of abundance and gratitude.
Along the way, students try out construction techniques and think about composition as they put their pieces together. The class meets on Saturdays, late morning into early afternoon, and is built for children ages 7 to 10. Each student takes home the centerpiece they make.
Spots are reserved through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. We suggest signing up ahead of time, since seasonal classes are offered for a limited run.
