Seussical Kids Musical Theater Performance Workshop
In progress since Sep 1, through Nov 7 · $225 ($215 members) · Ages 7 to 14

About the workshop
Young performers put on Seussical Kids, the musical that travels from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus. The story follows Horton the Elephant as he finds a speck of dust holding the tiny Whos, including a young Who named Jojo. While he shields the Whos from doubters, Horton also looks after an egg abandoned by Mayzie La Bird, and the show goes on to celebrate friendship, loyalty, family and community.
This is a tuition-based workshop production for students ages 7 to 14. In rehearsals, students learn the fundamentals of acting, stage movement and characterization, build confidence and performance skills, and see what goes into staging a full musical. The workshop leads to public performances of the show. Tuition includes a T-shirt.
Andrea Kennedy Hart leads the workshop with the Yocum Institute theater faculty. Rehearsals meet on Tuesdays during the fall session; see the schedule panel for the current run and performance dates. Register through the Yocum Institute for Arts Education.
